Jennifer L. Wolfe

Jennifer

Jennifer received a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration, Summa Cum Laude, from Texas Tech University. In 1974, she was certified in the discipline of Ballet under board examination by the Texas Association Teachers of Dancing, Inc.(TATD).  She studied as a Ballet Major at the University of Oklahoma from 1972-1974 where she worked extensively under master instructor, Victoria Leigh. She has worked under many other dance masters such as Gus Giordano, Rhonda Miller, Keith Clifton and Lyn Cramer. She has over 50 years dance training and teaching experience. She was with Bobbi Alcorn for 20 years. In 2005, she received certification from Stott Pilates, Canada, as a Level II Advanced Mat Instructor. Jennifer is a past President of Roswell Rotary. Currently, she serves as Treasurer of Neverland Theatre Company, and President of TATD.  Jennifer has over 40 years of experience teaching ballet, jazz, and tap.  She is the Owner/Executive Director of The Studio+ LLC, which she established in 2003.

Leaslee Neff

Leaslee Neff

Leaslee received a Master of Elementary Education from Eastern New Mexico University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Texas Tech University. For over 26 years, she taught in the Roswell Independent School District (RISD), receiving both the Walmart Teacher of the Year in 2008 and the Teacher of Character Silver Award in 2009.  She retired from RISD in 2009.  Leaslee was certified in the discipline of Tap under board examination by the Texas Association of Dancing, Inc. (TATD). Her extensive dance training and teaching experience spans more than 50 years. She has attended the National Association of Dance in America in Chicago, Dance Masters of American in Oklahoma and Texas, and TATD.  Leaslee has studied under numerous dance masters over her career. Additionally, she studied with Bobbi Alcorn for over 30 years and taught for the Alcorn Academy of dance for 11 years.  In 2003, Leaslee was one of the originating instructors of The Studio+.  She teaches ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics.

Tennise Lucas

Tennise

Tennise received a Master of Education from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. She received her New Mexico Teacher’s Certificate from Eastern New Mexico University. Currently, she is the Title I and SAT Coordinator at Valley Elementary School. Additionally, she is on the Superintendent Advisory Council and co-sponsor of the yearbook staff. In 2005, she was certified in the discipline of Tap under board certification with the Texas Association Teachers of Dancing, Inc. She received over 15 years of formal dance training with Alcorn Academy of Dance and Miss Minnie’s School of Ballet. Tennise has studied under Master instructors such as Keith Clifton, Jay Fagan, Gregg Russell, Leslie Scott and Rhonda Miller.  In 2003, Tennise was an originating instructor of The Studio+.  She teaches tap, irish, jazz and acrobatics.

 

Ada Mora Palacios

Ada studied Dance Education at Texas Woman’s University and was a professional dancer, instructor and choreographer in Dallas, TX.  She began training in ballet at age 15 with Sally Johnson of the Royal Ballet Academy, London.  In 2009, she joined millermuller ballet under the direction of Hope Miller, an apprentice of Natalie Krassovska of The Ballet Russe De Monte Carlo, Russia.  Ada’s versatile training has allowed her to perform and collaborate with many different companies.  Her professional experience includes millermuller Ballet Company, Muscle Memory Dance Theatre, Epiphany Dance Arts, Big Rig Dance Collective, The Neighborhood Hip Hop Crew, Lamar Street Festival (H.U.G. – Performance Installation), Oak Cliff Flamenco Festival, Russian Classical Ballet Festival, M2DT’s Made In A Day, and Water Tower Theatre Fringe Festival.  Ada has had the privilege to choreograph for many events such as Dallas Catholic Young Conference, M2DT’s Unfolding, and Heritage School of Classical Ballet’s Spring Galas.

Amy Owens

Amy Owens

Amy studied Education at Amarillo Jr. College, New Mexico State University, and Eastern New Mexico University.  She studied dance at the Hess School of Dance in Amarillo, TX where she participated in their annual production of The Nutcracker.  Amy has attended the Texas Association Teachers of Dancing, Inc. and has worked under a number of master instructors while at TATD.

Katie Angelos

Katie Angelos

Katie received a Bachelor in Business Management and Finance from New Mexico State University in 2016 and went on to receive her Masters Degree in Business Management and Marketing from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2021. Katie has over 12 years dance training with The Studio+ including ballet, jazz, tap, acrobatics and hip-hop.  For 4 years, she was a member of The Studio+ Performance Company, performing for numerous events throughout the community. In 2008, she received the Jeffrey Daniel Jobe Memorial Scholarship.  She attended the Texas Association Teachers of Dancing, Inc. convention for 4 years as a student and has continued to attend as a teacher.  Additionally, she has studied with masters such as Gregg Russell, Leslie Scott, Lyn Cramer, Rhonda Miller and Jay Fagan.

Destiny Harper

Destiny is an EMT with Superior Ambulance and is working on a EMT-Intermediate. In the Fall, she will begin the nursing program at Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell. She plans to pursue a career as a flight nurse.  Destiny began dancing at age 3 with the Alcorn Academy of Dance.  She trained with The Studio+ for 12 years in ballet, tap, jazz, Irish and hip hop.

Cameron Lucero

Cameron Lucero is a 2020 graduate of Roswell High School.  She has danced at The Studio+ for 12 years and has been an Assistant for 2 years.  While a student, Cameron studied ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary. In 2009 and 2011, Cameron received the Outstanding Student Award. She was a member of the Studio+ Performance Company for many years. In 2013, she performed with the Performance Company at the Holiday Bowl in San Diego, California. For the last eight years, she has attended the Texas Association Teachers of Dance, Dance! Texas and Triple Threat Texas conventions. She has studied under dance Master’s such as Rhonda Miller (Pace University), Lyn Cramer (University of Oklahoma), Joshua Carter (Giordano Dance Chicago), and Jay Fagan (Presidential Scholar/ Chicago Dance), and Melissa Anderson (Milwaukee Dance) among many others. Cameron is now attending ENMU-R to pursue a degree in Nursing.
